Leaving Rio
Hello my friends
after a fabulous week in rio me and maya flytomorrow to Brasilia, maya has two friends there that are going to host us and then we will all probably go together to a national park that is close by.
Rio is great, we stayedin a room with 2 irish girls luice and clodagh. We stayed in expensive but safe part of town, ipanema. we went out a lot, the first evening to Melts, thesecond to a great nightclub in lapa called scenarium, it is in an old house and full of antique furnitures and they had a live band. the 3 night we went to lapa again, first to a superhero costume party. i was superwoman and mayabatwoman. it was great, only locals and us and nobody spoke english. we then went to a hip hop club and there we got robbed. I didnt have a lot of moneyonly like 25 dollars and a disposable camera. but they took mayas glasses. all this was in my bag but i didnt notice it. we are actually very happy we were only pickpocked but not robbed with violence.
Monday was the onlysunny day but we didnt spend it on the beach. the morning we spent in the hospital (maya was sick but she is fine now) and the afternoon at the police station making a report. We first went to the wrong police station, this was the militay police station. they were very helpful though, they phoned the tourist police and they came to pick us up. So we waited 1 hour in the oficcers office, which was very funny cause all the time some policemen came in, apparently for no reason, to check us out.
Tuesday we went to a boat trip along the coast of Rio. it was an all you can eat and drink party that i had won tickets for. so we danced and swam all day long. so i did get a chance to use my new fabulouse bikini. it is with the most material i could find, it doesnt cover up my whole ass but most of it. for brasil this is very modest buti dont think i can use it at home.
our last day we went to see the stature of jesus, of course it was cloudy.
Tomorrow we will fly to brasilia, it is a 2 hour flight but costs only 70 dollars. Then we are going to norht brasil where the wheather is more tropical.
