Red Christmas

It did not snow this christmas, so we say that the christmas were red.

But I really enjoyed myself, I eat great food, spent a lot of times with my brothers and parents and realised how many friends i have. I got endless amount of christmas presents, some really beautiful things. And I still have a few presents to go!

I love christmas, in the darkest month of the year when there is hardly any light the christmas lights, blue red yellow green purple light up the dark. People are a bit stressed out but still when the moment comes it is lovely. It is peaceful and beautiful and i really like spening this evening with my family.

Down town

Yes, i finally managed to have fun down town in Reykjavik.

I went with Gyða my cousin and one of my best friends Unnur, Both are famous partyanimals.
Gyða was unusually calm, now she is a respectable housewife and a student in Reykjavik. no more rescuing her from a fights down town.
Unnur was a bit sad over some stupid colleagues of ours.
But all of us had a nice chat and met some cool people.

Then a beautiful guy, what my friend Eikey calls ungsveinn, (a YOUNG handsome man), hitt on me. He was lovely but looked to much like my 13 year old brother to do anything about it. But nice to be chated up anyway. There is a future for the men in this country.

Chilling out and first run

A nice weekend this has been.
In south america i learned that i do like doing nothing inbetween, and now i dont have the need to do EVERYTHING all the time. I have slowed down a lot.
For exemple on friday evening i came home at seven oclock, and instead of going to visit someone or to a cafe house, i stayed home and watched tv. Then i slept 10 hours, it was just wonderful.
Saturday i also spent hanging out in the sofa. It is not like Hrafnhildurs and Gummis sofa, that is the most powerful sofa in the world, makes me relax at once and i cant get out of it. But still my mothers sofa is nice.
Last night i threw a big party, many people couldnt come because of work or exams but many of my good friends came. I had a big show of the 400 best photos from my trip(out of 5000, i a insane)
I also ran for the first time yesterday with Hulda, she dragged me out half screaming I dont want to, but then i enjoyed it. Now i pay the price, i can hardly walk up the stairs.

Yes now I am a working girl, I wake up at 6.30 in the mornings to drive to work. I actually like driving in the mornings, when there is no traffic, then it is very relaxing. My work is interesting, my department is great, with a lot of variety and good doctors. What is difficult is the shifts. They are in the general practise and very hectic. But i manage the first one okei i think.

In the personal area not much is happening, no cute lations around.I went out yesterday evening for a bear with Kolla, Unnur and Vega, it was good evening, I really love my friends and sitting around chatting with them is one of the best things.

I am trying to adjust to Iceland and my work, I havent yet and still get a little bit depressed in between, I also have to be careful not to beat myself up over things, i tend to do that.
